There are few things which will always remain a secret. Love, Purity, Supreme Peace, Contentment ,serenity and a few more.. For ages wise men and women have done their best to express these deep feelings. Yet they remain a secret until you have realized it, experienced it in its fullness… Today we will talk about one such big secret: Evolution.

What is Evolution?

************************************************************************

A tremendous power which is trying to express itself and circumstances which are holding it down, the environments not allowing it to express itself. So in order to fight with these environments, the power is taking new bodies again and again. An amoeba in the struggle gets another body and so on until it become a human being. Now if you carry this idea to its logical conclusion there must come a time when that power that was in the amoeba and which evolved as a human being will have conquered all obstructions that nature can bring before it and will thus escape from all its environments. The idea expressed in metaphysics will take this form, there are two components in every action, the one the subject and the other the object, and the one aim of life is to make the subject the master of the object.

Swami Vivekananda

*******************************************************************************

How does the concept of Evolution relate to our day to day problems?

Consider an example:

The little fish wants to fly from its enemies in the water? How does it do so? Go ahead and think about some possible solutions…

……………

……………

Do you want to know the answer?

By evolving wings and becoming a bird…

The fish did not change the water or the air, the change was in itself.

Big Secret:

Change is always subjective.

Read this a million times.

We saw a little earlier there are two aspects to every problem:

a) The subject which is You

b) The object - the environments and the circumstances putting you down.

You cannot conquer all the objective environments. You cannot get rid of every person, every problem and every uncomfortable event that you encounter in your life.

So what do you do?

Like the little fish you evolve wings and become a bird.

You take: MENTAL FLIGHT……

We are all trying to express ourselves a little better with every passing day. We are evolving beings. If you pay close attention you will find that you can trace all the great discoveries of the world to two essential things. All these great discoveries came as a result of

a) A pressing problem OR

b) An expression or idea of freedom.

Take the discovery of the airplanes for instance. I have no clue about what triggered this discovery neither am I interested. History might have recorded a few things but if you make an attempt to go very deep into the mind of the person who made this fantastic discovery you might find the idea of freedom, the will to fly, to take mental flight …… You might notice that he did not attempt to change the objective circumstances the laws governing the earth, the air or the body which stopped him from flying… he developed an airplane through which he could take off from this earth and fly far above..

Change is always subjective.

You cannot conquer all possible objective environments. There is tremendous potentiality in you, terrific power within you which wants to express itself, an unlimited amount of energy at your disposal waiting for your orders… You have to give this force a new direction, a mental flight..

So what exactly does mental flight mean?

Mental flight is a art through which you arrive at a special place (not a physical place) and the moment you come in contact with this special place there is no conflict within you. There is no push and pull. You see things as they are not as they seem to look like. This is a very long subject and cannot be discussed in few paragraphs. We have a 30 day challenge program where we take our participants step by step through this process of taking mental flight to help them achieve their lifelong dreams) One of the many things which happens when you come in contact with this place is :You feel complete, absolutely complete you own everything and you do not desire anything. It is a very deep feeling which guides you towards your next best decision in relation to your problem. This place becomes your most authentic source of guidance and it is freely available at your disposal at any time for any duration.

Many people think that you require intellectual mastery to attain mental flight or reach a higher level of consciousness. This is not true at all. What you need is:

A TASTE FOR HIGHER LIFE.

Do you know what happens when you master the skill of mental flight?

Circumstances around you automatically change without any effort on your part to change it. This is the biggest secret . The secret of Zero Effort which all wise men and women imbibe in their daily life.

All through evolution you find that the conquest of nature comes by change in the subject. Apply this to the daily problems and you will find that the conquest of evil comes by the change in the subjective alone. This is how the whole system gets its force on the subjective side of human beings. To talk of evil and misery is nonsense, because they do not exist outside. If I am immune against all anger, I never feel angry. If I am proof against all hatred, I never feel hatred.

Swami Vivekananda

When you take mental flight the people harassing you or creating problems for you will either disappear from your life, or they will no longer wake up with the idea of troubling you or you might probably discover another environment suitable for your growth.

Taking mental flight which is nothing but the art of Zero effort is one of the greatest secrets and skills which we should learn, experience and express it in our daily life…….

If you do this, you will make swift progress. Faith and love will accompany you. Courage and strength will sit on your shoulders and inspiration and divine insight will lead your way to allow you to make the best choices in your life. Life will no longer be a mystery; doubt will no longer consume much of your attention. Problems will still exist, but they will not blur your vision of life. Problems will no longer define your life and the force of goodness coupled with the love of the spirit will find its way into every area of your life and influence and correct it as needed.

As you progress you will make fantastic discoveries in the world of spirit, great insights will be revealed to you, and you’ll reach new heights of understanding both in the external world and in the world of spirit. You will win life and win it handsomely.

Have you ever noticed that a vulture soars high in the sky but its eyes are always cast on the charnel pits where carcasses of animals are burnt.

Bhagvan Ramakrishna

I have all along been like a hero - I want my work to be quick like lightning, and firm as adamant. Likewise shall I die also. Therefore kindly do my work for me - no question of success or defeat enters here at all. I have never retreated in a fight - shall I now . . . ? There is success and failure in every work. But I am inclined to believe that one who is a coward will be born after death as an insect or a worm, that there is no salvation for a coward even after millions of years of penance. Well, shall I after all be born as a worm?

In my eyes this world is mere play - and it will always remain as such. Should one spend six long months brooding over the questions of honour and disgrace, gain and loss pertaining to this? . . . I am a man of action. Simply advice upon advice is being given - this one says this, that one says that; again that man threatens, and this one frightens! This life is not, in my view, such a sweet thing that I would long to live through so much care and caution and fear.

Money, life, friends, and relatives, and the love of men and myself - if one wants to enter into work fully assured beforehand of all these - if one has to be so much ridden with fear, then one will get just what Gurudeva used to say, “The crow thinks itself very clever but it cannot help eating filth - well, he will get that.

Today I want to tell you a very special story.
There was a very steep, high and rocky mountain in a village in southern India. No one had ever reached to the top of the mountain. One day 100 people mustered sufficient courage to climb this huge mountain. They had no clue of how much time it would take to get to the summit. However each of them was determined to succeed. In the beginning they helped each other but as days passed by a handful of them who were more talented at mountain climbing went quite a distance ahead while leaving the others behind.

The man who was ahead of everyone was very happy and pleased that he had beaten everyone. He was surging ahead with a rapid pace, determined to reach to the top of the mountain before anyone else. The other people in the group were also equally resolved to succeed. They looked upon this man, knowing his reputation, for inspiration and motivation. They talked at length about him his character, his confidence and personality, and admired him.

Their climb continued each person covering sufficient ground every day and making progress. Days turned to months and months to year but the journey went on. The man who led the race could see from a distance the top of the mountain but the more he advanced towards the summit he found more extra ground to cover. When he looked back at the height he had already covered it gave him tremendous satisfaction and the confidence to master the remaining distance. Meanwhile the distance between him and the others had also widened depending on the progress made by each of them.

There was a small child in the village who was watching all this. His dad was part of the group and ten years had passed by and his dad had not yet returned home. He was desperate to see him again. But no one could fulfill his wish. His mother had no clue of the whereabouts of his father. This child began to ask all the elderly people for advice but no one could really help him. Finally, the child met a wise old man who told him that a huge river flowed behind the vast mountain with a beautiful island at the other end of the river. “Your dad might be in that beautiful island,” the old man said. “I can show you a way to reach that island in a week’s time. But you have to cross a thick dense forest.”

The little child was thrilled. . He was bold and determined to meet his father and readily agreed to cross the dense forest.

The wise old man then took a piece of paper and wrote two words on it. “On the third day of your travel in the forest you will meet a person. Hand this paper to him and he will take you to the beautiful island where you can meet your father.”

The little child couldn’t hide his excitement. Seeking the wise man’s blessing he grabbed the note and headed in the direction of the forest.

On the third day of his journey he met a strange man in the forest. As advised by the wise man the little child handed the note to this person. No sooner had he handed over the note this man seized the child, slapped him hard, and tied him to a nearby tree with a strong rope. The little child was all in tears. He had eaten very little for the last two days and he had no clue of what was happening. He thought this person would help him meet his dad but instead this ugly man was beating him to death. He cried bitterly.

This strange man was the head of a tribal community and he told the child that tomorrow by 12 noon he would kill him and offer him as a sacrifice to the Forest God. The little child pleaded for mercy to be released. But the strange man refused to pay any heed to him.

“Why did the wise man lie to me?” How could he be so cruel? Why did he do this to me?” the little child wondered. Weeping bitterly he fell fast asleep. He had a beautiful dream that night. God appeared before him. The little child complained to God that the wise man had fooled him and the tribal head was going to kill him by 12 noon tomorrow. With tears rolling down his eyes he asked God whether He could him get out of the forest and meet his father.

God knelt down, took the tender child in his arms, and whispered two words in the child’s ears. ” Utter these two words tomorrow morning when the tribal head comes and he will free you and help you meet your dad.” God kissed the little child and bid him goodbye.

Early next morning the tribal head arrived. The little child smiled. He uttered the two words and then …? To read the full story you can visit our site at
